Last Friday I had the amazing opportunity to attend She’s Connected Conference in Toronto. I listened, I learned, I asked questions and I networked. I was presented with the opportunity to learn from experts in the field, brands that want to work with bloggers, and keynote speakers that made me think about my life and how I approach it.
In many ways I am a passionate go-getter taking life by the horns, and in others I am a bystander knowing I have so much to offer but not unsure of exactly how to make that happen. Listening to Kate White, former editor-in-chief of five top magazines (most recently Cosmopolitan), a New York Times Bestselling author of thrillers, mysteries and career books the light bulb turned on for me.
Kate White is a confident, attractive and remarkably younger looking than her age (which she revealed to a shocked audience). She took to the podium and reminded us that being gutsy was the key to success. Her mantra “Go Big or Go Home” resonated with me. She challenged us to make this a part of our everyday and my eyes brightened at the challenge. Could I, a girl from small town Ontario really go “balls to the wall?” Yes, yes I can. And, I cannot wait to see what will happen.
I purchased the book immediately, and was so enthralled by the session I actually purchased two. One for me, and one for you, my dear readers. I am thrilled to be offering a giveaway of a signed copy of Kate White’s “I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This.”
I truly hope it inspires you the way it has inspired me.

Travel Tuesdays are my favourite :)
:) Anything travel has my heart!
Reading about your boys. And seeing photos. They are too cute for words!
Thanks Sarah. :)
I love that saying… “go big or go home”
I try to keep those words at the back of my mind as often as possible. Even through the struggles, I am still willing to fight for what I want. Kate sounds inspiring indeed…I am checking out her website right now.
Thanks
Thanks Tami. So true. She was inspiring and really fun. Would love to go for a cocktail with her and pick her brain. Will have to settle for her book (which I am really enjoying reading)
