Travel has taught me so much in my life, made me a better person and forced me out of my comfort zone on numerous occasions.  For this and many other reasons I believe that travelling with my children is one of the most important things I can do with them.  And, I know that I am definitely not alone!  If you are planning a trip, or just want to encourage learning through travel these learning activities from Lately Lily are perfect to encourage learning for preschool and grade school kids.  The Travel Flash Cards are not only beautifully illustrated but they match up some of my favourite travel words by letter.  Great to use for learning the alphabet, travel vocabulary and spelling.  The cards are really thick and sturdy allowing them to stand up to many days, weeks, months of play.  Plus they are kept in a hardcover box for easy travel and storage.

Those are super cute. My girl will love them. I have her hooked on going to Paris and she is 6. LOL
Often when I travelled with my kids (and they missed some school time) they were asked by their teachers to make a journal or write about the trip. It was hard for them to organize their thoughts or remember their trip. I love the flash cards that make perfect prompts, or could be used to decide before hand what to write about in the travel journal. I think the activities like design your own travel tee are perfect for a plane train or road trip. They are fun and require no batteries. Thanks for sharing.

I agree. Traveling teaches you so much that you can never learn in school. What a great way to teach kids about travel when you can’t actually go somewhere.
