Dining on the Carnival Breeze

6 April 2013 | UPDATED ON: 29 March 2014

Our recent cruise on the Carnival Breeze was a vacation to remember.  Our twin boys loved it, my husband and I loved it and we made so many great family memories.  Like many families, food is one of our favorite things and cruise ships certainly have a reputation for having lots of food.  I was delighted to find that dining on the Carnival Breeze had tons of fantastic, fresh and delicious options.

Like every cruise I have been on there, are lots of food choices, but the Carnival Breeze had truly fantastic dining options.  From the signature dining rooms, to a coffee bar and everything in between.  A few of our favorites were the Blue Iguana Cantina (great tacos, burritos and fresh salsas), Guy Fieri’s Burger Joint (amazing burgers and indulgent toppings), and Pizza Pirate (24 hour hand tossed pizza). And the 24 hour ice cream and frozen yogurt was fantastic!  I had to limit myself or I would have been eating ice cream all day :)

Just some of the fantastic dining options onboard the Carnival Breeze

One of my favorite parts of the eating options on the Carnival Breeze was the beautiful areas to sit.  Whether it was a table overlooking the ocean, or one in the buffet area, the ship did a great job at making the sitting areas seem cozy, and not like a bit public eating area.

Dining on the Carnival Breeze

Our boys favorite was Pizza Pirate – really delicious pizzas – Quattro Fromaggio was the big hit with our family!

One of my other favorite options on any cruise ship is the 24 room service.  Most days we chose to have breakfast brought to our room so that we could enjoy it on our balcony in our pjs.  With no cost (other than a tip) I feel that the room service is such a luxury, one I rarely can afford in a hotel.

From a burger by the pool, to a fine dining meal in the dining room or steakhouse, the Carnival Breeze does not disappoint.  Whatever your food preference, they are sure to have it!

Interested in learning more about the ship – read this blog post.

Have you cruised before?  What are you favorite dining options on a cruise ship?

When I cruised, Norwegian had the open dinning experience, but Carnival teamed you up with another family. It was fine, but it got a little uncomfortable after awhile. I think its easy to make small talk with different people each time, then with the same couple each time, it was especially weird because the family we were grouped with didn’t speak a lot of english. But besides that, I’ve always loved cruise ship dinning. I mean the options are endless, even at 3 in the morning when for some reason you have night time cravings. I think a person could gain 15 pounds from a week of cruising.

      Heather,

It is so different with every cruise line. I have loved the people we have sat with each time, but like having my own table too. When my husband and I went alone we really liked sitting with other couples – fun to talk about what everyone did in port each day.
We’ve never tried a company with open dining. Not sure if I would like being with a different waiter everyday. Getting to know my service team is one of my favorite things!

My last (and only) cruise was in 2010 on the Carnival Pride – the food was fantastic. I loved dining at the steak house, yes you pay a little more, but it was a nice special treat.

Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. No, we have never cruised before but would like to try. As funny as this may sound, I’ve always worried that someone could fall overboard on the ship! Oh, the worries that go along with having kids!

Jenna – totally understand. When we booked a balcony this cruise I was worried about the boys, but it is so secure and the railings are high with no gaps between the glass and the floor. I felt so safe a secure.

I’ve never been on a cruise before although my Mother and Brother go on one every year. It’s incredible the variety of options; food, and events amongst others. It’s like a like village (or city) on water.

I’ve been to all inclusive places before and I always enjoy eating the most “local” cuisine that they have available. For me, if I wanted Burgers I’d stop by McDonalds at home :)

So glad to see that you and your family enjoyed yourself so much. Plans for another destination?

We are hoping to go on a Cruise this year. And we still plan to sail Carnival – regardless of the crap going on in the media right now. :) It’s amazing that the ships are so big, it looks like a normal restaurant in town lol

I might be looking for a cruise in the near future. Are there any that are grown-up friendly without being filled with people my parents’ age (60-something) or kids and at the same time, not a party boat (think spring breakers)? DH and I want to do as many “grown-up” things as we can before we’re matched for adoption.

Looks like an awesome trip! We did a cruise last year with Carnival and before we left, one of the things I was looking forward to was the food. The main dining room is awesome but the snacks – SUSHI! – and other places for food are also great. :) Of course, our daughters liked the 24/7 ice cream… :)

I love cruising and have been on over 15 cruises. I have been on a few of the Carnival ships but none of their newer ones other than the Dream which I loved. It’s interesting to see how they have made the other dining option so much nicer than their older ships have. Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to get back on a cruise ship.
