I’ve found the best way to do chocolate chip waffles is to sprinkle on the chips after you’ve poured the batter in. Even distribution, easier scooping or pouring of batter.

I have a weakness for waffles, especially ones with chocolate in them. These are perfect!
Autumn says
Oddly, it seems like most people who reviewed this recipe haven’t cooked it yet-which isn’t helpful. It was pretty good. Tasty. The batter seemed thin/ mainly liquid which made it hard to judge when there was enough batter in the maker. Any tips are welcome! Thanks
Kerrie @ Family Food and Travel says
We use the Breville waffle maker so it comes with a batter scoop that shows amounts. Try filling the waffle maker to just covering and see how it cooks. You don’t want too much batter that it overflows.
