I love my slow cooker and marvel at the vast array of recipes that can be created in it. From dinner to dessert and everything in between it’s a master at making meals easy and delicious. This recipe for homemade Slow Cooker Bits and Bites is easy, delicious and tastes just like the mixes my grandmother used to make. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Homemade Slow Cooker Bits and Bites

Ingredients:
4 cups cereal squares (like Shreddies)
3 cups toasted oat o’s (like Cheerios)
3 cups Rice Chex
3 cups Pretzel Goldfish (or pretzels)
2 cups salted peanuts
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp Herbamare (or celery salt)
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
1 cup butter, melted
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
In a large slow cooker combine all cereal, goldfish and peanuts.
Mix together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce.
In a small dish mix together garlic powder, onion powder, Herbamare, and seasoned salt.
Combine dry seasonings with butter mixture.
Pour evenly over cereal tossing it to become coated.
Cover and cook on high for 2 hours stirring often (approximately every 15 minutes) to ensure the mixture doesn’t burn.
Cool and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Don’t forget you’ll need a Large Crock Pot we love our programmable one because it’s easy to set and not worry about. Set a timer on your phone to remind you of the 15-20 minute intervals to stir.

Omit the peanuts and this is a great school snack for lunch boxes and we switch the goldfish for pretzel sticks as a great game-night snack.
