The holidays are approaching faster than you can think, and it’s time to take advantage of Tips for Holiday Travel for Busy Moms. These tips come from years of traveling with my own children, and our sponsor, Depend®, has some great tips to include. No matter what your upcoming holiday travel destination may be, these ideas will help make it easier to manage.
Tips for Holiday Travel for Busy Moms
We love to travel, and while we are located in Canada, our trips have taken us far and wide. Holidays often include longer trips for many families, and we have made those trips ourselves on a few occasions. Since airports are often busy, and you find yourself running at the last minute to catch a flight, I hope these tips help you as much as they have helped me.
Wear appropriate clothing for travel. One thing I have learned from years of travel is that comfort is truly key when you are on the road. You can easily look nice while also feeling comfortable. I recommend wearing loose fitting and comfortable clothing, along with shoes that are easy to slip on and off for necessary TSA stops.
Layers of clothing are also a great idea. While you are traveling, you don’t always know what your plane, train, hotel, or destination temperature will be like. A lightweight shirt with a sweater or jacket is always a good idea. This makes it easy to be cooler or warmer as needed.
For moms, especially, the running around can be a bit uncomfortable. If you are like me, after having kids, bladder leakage is an unfortunate event. Nobody wants to be trapped in an airport feeling like they need to change their clothes because of an accident. Wearing and packing Depend® FIT-FLEX® Underwear is my best tip. Not only are these easy disposable underwear that packs compactly in your luggage, but they provide you with the assurance that if you have a bit of leakage, it won’t be a problem or require a clothing change.
Invest in quality luggage that has wheels. If you have ever raced through an airport to catch a connecting flight, then you know there is nothing worse than having to carry heavy luggage. There is nothing better for making travel easier than a good set of luggage with wheels for simple and fast movement. There are a multitude of brands out there to suit your needs. Simply do some research on the sizes and styles you need to make an educated decision.
Add a travel itinerary to every bag. As a parent traveling during the holidays, there is always the fear of crowded places resulting in you being separated from your child. One of the best tips I have seen and put to use is to add a complete itinerary to every bag, including the children’s carry-on bags or backpacks. This should include the flight numbers, your name, and contact information, as well as an at-home emergency contact, copy of everyone’s photo ID, and hotel information. This little safety precaution can make it easy to keep everyone safe should you get separated for any reason.
Right now, you can try Depend® Silhouette Active Fit® briefs and Depend® FIT-FLEX® underwear and receive $2 off! This is a great time to stock up while supplies last on this great offer!
These tips for holiday travel for busy moms are going to make your travel easier to manage this year. Setting yourself up for success during the holidays is a must!

The right luggage, with good wheels can make a huge difference to your travel experience! It’s so frustrating when they won’t roll properly or get damaged and can’t move smoothly!
