Honey mustard is one of my favourite flavours. It’s perfect for salad dressings, cheese plates, dips, roasted and grilled veggies and to top chicken, turkey, ham and pork. It’s versatile and delicious. Maille asked us to create a recipe families will love that is easy to make, family-friendly and features their Maille Honey Dijon Mustard. We created these Honey Dijon Mustard Baked Chicken Thighs and Grilled Asparagus I know your family will love as much as ours did! The best part, Maille Honey Dijon Mustard is available at grocery stores and supermarkets across Canada.
If your kids are picky eaters you know that making a dish the whole family will enjoy is challenging. I love dishes full of flavour but the boys prefer a specific style of food. With its delicate balance of tangy Dijon and sweet blossom honey, Maille’s Honey Dijon Mustard is perfect to introduce new flavours and foods. Did you know that only 2 out of 5 Canadian children eat their “7 a day” according to Statistics Canada. Maille Honey Dijon Mustard adds a dash of sweet tanginess to dressings, marinades and dips – which are easy ways to help kids eat more veggies to reach their daily recommended intake. Plus, Dijon mustard contains only 30 calories per tablespoon and a good number of nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids, selenium, fiber, protein, magnesium, iron and calcium so it’s more than just a great way to add flavour to your meals.

Maille has created the perfect marinade for grilled veggies that adds flavour your family will love! We tried it with grilled asparagus – super easy and loved how it changed the flavour of the asparagus to match the Honey Dijon Mustard Baked Chicken Thighs. Just remember 1-2-3 and you can make this anytime. One tablespoon of Maille Honey Dijon Mustard, 2 tbsps Balsamic Vinegar and 3 tbsp Extra-Virgin Olive Oil. Maille’s Honey Dijon Mustard comes in two formats – in a classic glass jar and plastic squeezable bottle (convenient for outdoors or on the go, such as at summer picnics, BBQ’s and outdoor dining). We make sure we have both on hand to suit the meal we are making. Maille has created this handing grilling chart to help you get the best out of your veggies.
