I used to think smoothies were for breakfast but now our family has them at all different times of day. Whether it’s a for a snack or as part of a meal, smoothies are such a great way to get a variety of fruits and veggies into your diet. Especially with young on-the-go boys this is really important to me. These dairy free smoothies are chock-full of goodness. We have two recipes that the whole family will love: Pineapple Chiller and Peach Raspberry Swirl Smoothie.
Dairy Free Smoothies
These dairy free smoothies are made with Almond Breeze making them perfect for a no or low dairy diet. They are full of flavour, very low in fat and absolutely delicious. Perfect for anytime of day! The only real question is which one will you try first?
Pineapple Chiller
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
1 cup (250 mL) Almond Breeze® Vanilla
1 cup (250 mL) frozen mango chunks
1 cup (250 mL) pineapple juice
1/2 cup (125 mL) coconut water
1/2 cup (125 mL) orange juice
1/4 cup (60 mL) lime juice
Ice cubes (approx 8)
Directions:
In blender, combine Almond Breeze, frozen mango, pineapple juice, coconut water, orange juice, lime juice and ice cubes; blend until smooth.

- 1/2 cup 125 mL orange juice
- 1/4 cup 60 mL lime juice

Peach Raspberry Swirl Smoothie
Yield: 2 servings
Ingredients:
1 cup (250 mL) Almond Breeze® Unsweetened Original
1 cup (250 g) frozen, unsweetened peaches partially thawed
1 packet no-calorie sweetener (such as stevia), optional
1 cup (250 g) frozen, unsweetened raspberries, partially thawed
Directions:
Blend almond beverage, peaches and sweetener in a blender until smooth. Pour a little more than half (about 1 ¼ cups) of peach mixture into a measuring cup or similar container and reserve. Blend raspberries with peach smoothie remaining in blender until smooth.
If necessary, pulse blender and add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water to help blend. Pour both flavours into glass at the same time; swirl with a straw. Serve immediately.
