Peanut Butter is the go-to in our house for a protein packed ingredient. From salad dressings to soup and stew ingredients we do a lot more with our peanut butter than just spread it on toast. It’s versatile, easy to store and a family favourite for flavour and yumminess! Our family created this recipe to tackle our busy mornings. It’s fast, easy to make and packed full of great nutrients and protein – the perfect topping for yogurt, a smoothie bowl and as a snack on it’s own. If you like granola and you like peanut butter then this recipe is for you!
Peanut Butter and Honey Granola
Ingredients:
3 cups large flake oats
1 cup coarsley chopped honey roasted peanuts
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp ground flax
2 tbsp hemp hearts
1 cup Kraft Peanut Butter with Honey
1/2 cup honey
2 tbsp vanilla
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275
In a bowl, mix together oats, peanuts, flour, baking powder, sea salt, flax and hemp hearts. Set aside.
In a separate bowl mix together Kraft Peanut Butter with Honey, honey, and vanilla. Add to dry mixture.
Stir until fully combined.
On a parchment lined baking sheet spread out granola (breaking up any large pieces. Bake for 20 minutes. Stir, Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until slightly browned.
Allow to cool for 2 to 3 hours.
Store in an airtight container.
