Summertime is the perfect time to create, craft and try some new culinary delights. My boys love getting their hands dirty and really enjoying everything that summer has to offer. From the beach, to gardening to digging in a sandbox we spend so much time outside that we often crave some refreshing treats. When Green Works sent us this super cool Zoku Popsicle Mold we set about creating a flavour the boys would love. We brainstormed a number of different flavours but with a whole watermelon on the counter we decided that watermelon pops would be perfect!
First step was to soak the popsicle mold in the sink with Green Works Naturally-Derived Dishwashing Liquid. We let the mold soak for a bit then rinsed it off and dried it so it was clean and ready to go.
Once the mold was ready we set to making our popsicles.
How to make Watermelon and Lime Popsicles:
Step 1: Make lime simple syrup – one cup of sugar + 1 cup of water + zest of one lime – boil until reduced to a syrup (about 5 minutes). Allow to cool.
Step 2: Cut 2 cups of seedless watermelon cut into cubes
Step 3: Add watermelon, the juice of 1 lime, cooled simple syrup + 1 container of vanilla yogurt (100g) and blend until mixed.
Step 4: Pour popsicle mixture into mold, insert plastic sticks and holders and place in the freezer overnight.
Step 5: Enjoy!
Once our popsicles were in the mold and in the freezer we put all of the dishes we created in the dishwasher and washed them with Green Works Naturally-Derived Dishwasher Detergent Pacs.
Green Works Dishwasher Detergent Packs tackle tough food stains and cut through all of the grimy, greasy residue left on your plates. I love the fresh scent and that my dishes are beautifully clean. They work well on all types of dishes and never leave a residue. Perfect for cleaning up our glorious messes!

Oh we love our ZOKU. Ours is different than yours but we love making these too. I also have a fair bit of Green Works stuff here. I didn’t even notice until my daughter started cleaning the other day and she was reading how good this brand is for all purpose cleaning too.
