Mother’s Day has always been an important day in our family. Since I was a young child I remember loving to make and/or buy my mom a Mother’s Day gift. I loved that it was a special day to devote to mom and while I can’t remember any specific traditions we always spent it together. Now that I’ve become a mom I thought that my focus would shift. I really believed that once I was a mom Mother’s Day would be about me but I was wrong. It is a special day for my boys and I but in my heart Mother’s Day is all about celebrating my mom and all she does to make my boys and my life better each and every day.

We celebrate mother’s day by going on a hike.
The kids and I will be making my wife breakfast at home and we’ll be off to a dinner with both my mom, mother in law and grandmother.
We don’t have any plans yet, waiting to see what work schedules are like.
My brothers and I (and our families) will be spending the afternoon at my mom’s house. If the weather is OK we’ll have a cookout.
I’m hoping for a BBQ and a fun day with my family.

I will be celebrating Mothers Day with my son and Husband! This is the 1st year as a mom and a wife mothers day falls on our 1 year wedding anniversary this year so its going to be really special to me hopefully we can celebrate by going to dinner or something :)
