Every year, when December comes around, life gets a whole lot busier. Between the holidays, my day job, my mom job and my blog, some things just don’t get done in time and begin to pile up. When I use the words pile up, I mean figuratively and literally. (Clorazepate/) The to-do list suddenly becomes endless, emails are flooding in, housework becomes overwhelming and garbage, well that actually does pile up along with the smell! And really, when I’m trying to enjoy my morning cup of coffee before the twins get up and we start the day, the last thing I want is the smell of garbage wafting through the air. It was making some mornings quite smelly, so recently I used some new Glad Garbage bags that I was sent to try out and wow, what a difference they made!
The first ones I tried were their Febreeze Easy-Tie Kitchen Catchers I really appreciate the fact they actually neutralized the odors coming from the trash so that if I was a couple days late taking it out, I couldn’t even tell, there was no smell!
I also loved the Easy-Tie feature because it let me close the garbage bag so easily even though it was filled to the top. No more taking out half-filled garbage bags because of the odor!
If you compost in your area, then you will also want to try out Glad’s Easy-Tie Compostable Bags. They will hold all your food scraps, leftovers and bio-degradable material but won’t make your can sticky or smelly. Even more incentive to compost.
I actually found that the small compost bags were also the perfect size to use in the car to collect the garbage. With my boys in the car, there is no lack of dropped food, crumbs and lots of other garbage that only preschoolers can provide you with. These were great to throw the trash in and then I would take it out of the car when the bag was full. And there was not smell, win-win.
We all have to deal with garbage and compost, it’s not going anywhere. But you can make it easier with these simple and better smelling options from Glad and give your self a better morning.
