With twin four year old boys we are beginning to get into Lego and all of the creative fun it brings. Â On a recent trip to Vaughan we headed to check out Legoland Toronto to see what it’s all about. Â Conveniently attached to Vaughan Mills mall there is tons of free parking available and some great family parking spots right at the entrance to Legoland.
The boys absolutely loved the Miniland and the Earthquake simulator and enjoyed playing on the large climber and building race cars. Â The hands on nature of Legoland is perfect for kids who like to touch, see and do rather than just watch and observe.
I was (and so were the boys) absolutely mesmerized by the MINILAND the tiny lego recreation of Ontario’s landmarks with interactive Rogers Centre baseball and Air Canada Centre hockey there is so much to see and marvel at. Built by Lego Master Builders it took upwards of 5000 hours to complete. Â Seeing MINILAND is worth the trip to Legoland Toronto!

While some of the elements of Legoland Toronto were too scary/too old for our boys the visit was fun and entertaining. Â They enjoyed building with lego and loved racing cars. Â I loved that the centre is both hands on play and physical play. Â The boys got some great exercise running through the play structure and thought about physics, movement and stability while building and creating.
I was a bit concerned by the number of kids touching and playing with everything without a station to wash their hands. Â I was surprised that there wasn’t somewhere to sanitize on the way in or that people weren’t walking around wiping down areas that were high traffic.
It is my understanding that the centre can become very busy. Â We went at dinnertime and it was great – no lines and the boys were able to really enjoy everything. Â Legoland Toronto is a great attraction for families looking for a play place for their kids.

I would love to take my son to Legoland when we head over to Ontario for a trip next May. I’m not a “lego person” but I will admit, this is all so cool and I have always wanted to check it out.
