Calculate the Cost of Your Childs Post-Secondary Education Sooner than Later
The high cost of post-secondary education is something I know too well.
Education has been important to me since I was a young child and being the first of my family to graduate from University was a dream I longed to fulfill. And, I LOVED University. It made me happy, it made me excited about learning, reading and writing. I loved my Undergraduate degree so much that I applied for a Master’s Degree and completed my Bachelor of Education. All three degrees were amazing. They expanded my mind, changed the way I looked at the world and gave the skills for a success career. BUT, they were EXPENSIVE. I worked two jobs through University and still ended up with $70,000 in student loans.
Yes, you read right, $70 000.
An insurmountable amount of money, and a debt I have been paying off since the minute I graduated and I can tell you that 12 years later I am STILL paying.
When I got pregnant I promised myself that things would be different for my boys, that they would not be saddled with the debt I did. Plus, with twins I knew that if I didn’t start saving now I wouldn’t have enough money later. I began saving that first year.

I will have mine paid off this year, but I only have a bachelor of science. It is insightful especially since I have two little kids that I hope will go to college one day!

It kills me to think about how much it will cost our kids to go to college. It is expensive enough for us to go! But it is important to remember and think about it and start saving.

I so need to do this, with 5 children we really have not contributed much to a college fund, we have a plan but really haven’t put it into play yet.

It’s absolutely terrifying! My son is about to start paying his student loans and I’m so worried for him. His aren’t quite that high, but even so, it’s going to be so hard for him to survive.

This is totally a fact, my auntie in united states told us that secondary education and college there is very luxurious. As what you have told in this blog, I could barely say all of them are true. I love schooling and for me its one of the best stages of life.

Student debt accumulates so quickly. I’ve got a mountain of it about to come due myself. School has been awesome though, for sure!
