Blue Mountain Village Perfect for Families

Blue Mountain Village in Collingwood, ON is one of my favourite places for family travel. Shopping, activities, restaurants and cafes – perfect for families.  The Village is beautifully designed, architecturally interesting and its filled with amenities and activities.

Blue Mountain Village 1

Our family loves the freedom of walking around a pedestrian only area.  With wonderful shops, cafe’s, restaurants and a little grocery store you have everything you could ever need or want.  And, with lots of Canadian classics (Beaver Tails!) Blue Mountain Village is a great place to take International visitors.

Blue Mountain Village

In the summer Blue Mountain hosts a variety of outdoor music performances and movies you can watch outside.  In the winter, activities abound from horse drawn carriages to special winter events.

Our favourite place to eat with our kids at Blue Mountain Village is the Firehall Pizza Co.  Great food, fun decor (especially for boys who love fire trucks!) and reasonably priced.

In addition to shops, food and live entertainment, Blue Mountain Village is home to a variety of activities that your family will love.  From the Open-Air Gondola to the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster there is something for everyone.  Activities at Blue Mountain Village include:  Monterra Golf & Tennis, Plunge!  Aquatic Centre, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Cascade Putting Course, Timber Challenge High Ropes, Woodlot Low Rope, Open Air Gondola, Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster and Mountaintop Segway Tours. There is no doubt that you will find something you love at Blue Mountain Village.

Our family loved every minute of our time at Blue Mountain and we cannot wait to go back and experience it again.

Travelling to Blue Mountain?  Check out my review of the Westin Trillium House Blue Mountain.

We really loved it there. My boys were both surprised there was so much for us all to do. Since they are teens and their sis so much younger. we hope to make it back soon. The food at The Firehall was amazing and the kids kept asking to go back. Loved seeing you too :)

Looks like an amazing place for a family! I think it is a tad far for us (we are in Ottawa) although, I am not exactly sure how long it would take us to drive – I should look into it!
