My twin boys drink a lot of milk. A lot. And, that makes me really happy because they are growing and active and healthy. From cereal in the morning to a drink with lunch and dinner, milk is staple in our house. I feel like I go to the grocery store for milk more than most people do and I can’t even imagine when my boys are teenagers what it will be like!
I love the nutrients that milk provides and love that I can get it anywhere. But, I have had trouble taking it everywhere. When we travel to other countries I’ve seen shelf safe milk everywhere. From the local Starbucks in the U.S. to grocery stores in Mexico, milk that doesn’t require refrigeration is everywhere. I always wondered why this product wasn’t available in Canada, but now we too can have our Milk Unleashed!
So, what is shelf safe milk? Check out this video and learn more about it:
This summer, our family has been spending a lot of days at the beach. We pack up sand toys, blankets, towels and our lunch and head to our local beach for a day of sun, sand and swimming. I used to always grab juice boxes but now that I know there is milk I can take I will be looking for some shelf safe milk to throw in our beach bag.
I can see so many benefits of shelf safe milk for my family, but here are my top three:
1.Easy Storage – these tetra packs can easily be packed away in our pantry and don’t need to take up room in our already overpacked fridge.
2. Travel Ready – our family loves to take off on a trip and shelf safe milk will be a great alternative to sugary drinks
3. Buy in Bulk – like many shoppers, my family loves to stock up on our favorite items. With little time to shop we buy our essential items in bulk. Shelf safe milk would provide us with that option for a household staple that we seem to be running to the grocery store endless amounts of time in a month.
