My favorite Fathers Day memory is when my daughter wanted to make a Fathers day card for her Dad and Step-dad. She was told she could only make one for her actual father. She was only 10 at the time but she protested not only to her teacher but approached the principal of the elementary school she attended. In the end it was agreed she could make both cards. The love she had for both of her Fathers was so beautiful and in her little eyes worth fighting for.

I knew that Shiloa would bring a smile to his face. So we walked over to say happy father’s day and to see my dad’s smile.

I remember cooking for my dad what I thought was a wonderful breakfast at the time, but now that I am an adult, realize that he must have had a strong stomach to eat burnt toast and overcooked eggs.

our kids are still a little small to do anything too exciting, but my favorite memory of my father and I would be sitting on his bed while he was going through his drawer and he brought out a horrendously tacky tie still in its packaging (it had ‘Dad’ repeatedly printed all over it in red and green) and asked if I’d be offended if he got rid of it. He’d kept that thing so long I never remembered getting it for him! Made me smile that despite him never wearing tie’s, and the thing being hideous, he had kept it so long because I gave it to him.
