Today is the day. Hard to believe how fast the summer flew by. I know that I am so lucky to be able to stay home with my boys for the summer, but I could take another month off no problem! (https://conversionwise.com/) Well, except for the money. Definitely looking forward to payday on Friday. What has surprised me most about this summer is how much I have enjoyed it. My previous post at the beginning of the summer talked about my worries and my fears of the time at home. While there were hard days, we have accomplished so much this summer. Days at the beach, sleep training, trips to the zoo, playdates, picnics, vacation, starting Cross Fit and lots of time with great friends. As the leaves begin to change and the nights get cooler I am reminded that the next season is upon us. I am thankful for these days with my boys and at the same time excited for the challenge of returning to work. I feel rested, energized and exhilarated. But, as I cuddled my boys in the pyjamas this morning I know I will also miss lazy mornings at home. I’ll try to sneak in a few more cuddles before I have to leave.
Lazy, pyjama mornings are the best :) |

I know how hard it is to be a working mom and have to leave for work every morning. That is awesome that you got to spend the summer with your kids, I really wish I could find a job that would allow me to do that.

It is a real gift to have the summer off. My husband is so busy with his catering business that I really need to be home. Things might change once the boys are old enough to go to camp. But hoping I can keep the summers off! :) Thank you for stopping by.

With everyone headed back to school and work, I’m already starting to dread my mat leave ending – and it doesn’t happen until January!
Hope work went well!

It is tough going back. The end of a mat leave is hard stuff. But, you’ll do it, and you’ll be fine. You’ll also realize that you can go to work but your heart is somewhere else :)

Hiya, I just stopped by after visiting the Naptime Review Blog Hop! I am totally with you – I was worried about keeping my daughter entertained during the summer holidays, but I loved it and don’t want her to go back!

I know what you mean, in that summer has been wonderful with no schedule, no homework, and no rushing through the morning trying to get everyone ready!
