I love outlet shopping and there is not better place than Woodbury Commons. Lucky for me my family enjoys shopping. In fact, I think sometimes my husband enjoys outlet shopping more than I do! The boys are pretty good sports about shopping especially when we go somewhere they can run around and play. On our recent road trip we went to my favorite outlet mall Woodbury Commons.
This outlet mall has everything you could ever want. From high end top designers like Gucci, Fendi, Tom Ford to Osh Kosh, Adidas, Nike and Toys r Us. It is a shopping mecca. A place that people fly in from around the world to visit. So, prepared for it to be busy. Some stores more than others.

I got some amazing deals on clothes for the boys. There are a wide variety of clothing stores for children ranging from high end to more reasonably priced. I got 6 pairs of pants, 4 sweatshirts and 8 t-shirts for $170 USD at Osh Kosh. At home they would be more than double that price.
If you go shopping at Woodbury and want to go to the Coach outlet (which I would highly recommend) make sure you go RIGHT at 10am when it opens. In the picture below you can see outside the store the barriers to make a line up. Yes, people have to line up to get in and, the store is very large inside. It is truly nuts in there! I described it to my husband as a big fish tank. One where the fish haven’t been fed in months. Then, someone drops in fish food and the fish go crazy. That is my analogy of people trying to find the right purse amid tons of people! I purchased a fantastic pink purse and a new wallet. Love them!
The boys loving playing outside in the all the open space. My husband and I usually tag team shop because shopping with toddlers is not always the most enjoyable experience. |
One of the many attractive features of this mall is that there are lots of stores that appeal to men. From Bose, to Columbia and North Face, there are lots to make it a worthwhile trip for them as well. These outlets really offer stores for every gender, taste, style and budget. Other family friendly features include an outdoor play area with slide, swings and climbing structure, a food court with many options, an Applebees on sight, lots of bathrooms located in many convenient spots and a big open car free shopping area.
My final tip to maximize the benefits of the outlet shopping experience is to register online for their VIP club which entitles you to extra coupons and a free coupon book ($10 for those not registered as VIP). Go to the Premium Outlets website and register before you go. Also, don’t forget to print off your coupons too.
In case you need further convincing to make this a shopping destination. There was a great article in O Magazine about Gayle King shopping there. You can read it here.
