DK Books Spring = Earthly Pleasures and Babies

26 April 2014 | UPDATED ON: 26 April 2014

Spring is all about renewal and our friends at DK Canada are celebrating two different types of renewal – the Earth and Babies.  Two of my favourite things :) I got the chance to try out some of their books and was absolutely in love with the variety and options that their boutiques feature.

Earthly Pleasures Boutique

When Spot the Bird arrived my boys were fascinated by it.  They tried to pick out birds they knew and birds they had seen at the bird feeder. I love the bright colours, the graphics and the descriptions of characteristics, habitat and food.  A great educational tool that is fun and informative.  I can’t wait to see what other birds we can see near our home.

Best for Baby Boutique

While there are no new babies in our home, some of our closest friends are expecting and I cannot wait to share these books with them.  Annabel Karmel’s First Meals was a favourite of mine when our boys were first learning to eat.  With fun and create recipes I knew that my boys were getting all of the nutrients they needed and I had great go to recipes.

First Words is a great book for babies to explore.  With tabs, and flaps there are so many things to discover.  The bright colours and pictures are attractive to babies and the familiar picture of Sophie the Girraffe is sure to excite any Sophie loving baby!dk books spring

DK Canada Spring Giveaway

What a great collection! I love the “Spot the ___” books ~ it’s rare to see that sort of a book geared toward little ones, and with the stickers and the simple details I think they will be a huge hit! We live right across the street from a huge nature area, so I would love to win these for my little one! Thanks for the opportunity!

I love that these are books that can keep them busy all summer long hunting birds and bugs! I’m most interested in the SPOT THE BIRD book, but I think the spot the bug book would be an easier one to start with since it’s easier to get up close and personal with a bug to try to identify it.
