Easter is just around the corner, and while we have some fabulous ideas that take a bit of time, these Easy Easter Cupcakes will be created quickly and look fantastic! All you need are some Easter candies, cupcakes and your favourite icing. Perfect to make with your kids!
For the cupcake use the Vanilla Cupcake recipe from my St. Patrick’s Day Cupcakes and Vanilla Buttercream from my Pumpkin Chai Cupcakes.
Easy Easter Cupcakes Supplies:
- Mini Eggs
- Chocolate Bunnies
- Cupcakes
- Vanilla Buttercream Icing
- Green Food Colouring
- Small circular tip and piping bag
Directions:
Make Icing adding 4-7 drops of green food colouring (depending on what shade of green you are looking for) set aside.
Make cupcakes according to recipe and let cool.
Fill piping bag with green buttercream icing and pipe pieces of grass onto the cupcake covering as much or as little or the cupcake surface as you’d like.
Once ‘grass’ has been laid place a chocolate bunny (wrapped or unwrapped) in the centre surrounded by mini eggs.
Easy, right? I love that they are so simple to make but add a special element to an Easter egg hunt or Easter dinner. My boys loved helping out by putting the bunnies and eggs on and stirred the batter too. Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter.
