This morning I had an appointment to start my Cross Fit career. Ha! Hopefully it is at least manageable. So, my husband and the boys drove into town with me and ran errands while I sweat my a%$ off!
Naptime
Then, on the way home, at 12pm (about an hour before they go down for their nap) the boys both fell asleep in the car. Panic! Now what? The boys usually transfer but don’t have long naps after they do. So, we carefully carried them upstairs but the boys were now wide awake. Very awake. Yelling, laughing, screaming awake. They played in their cribs for about 30 minutes then they started to cry. They cried and cried and cried. I went up and rubbed their backs and told them they needed to sleep. They were having none of that. At about 2pm they fell asleep. This is definitely something that wouldn’t have happened before I started sleep training. I would have gone up after they cried for 30 minutes and brought them down. I would have believed that the 30 minutes in the car was all the nap they were going to have and it would have been a long day and a long night with overtired boys.
Bedtime
Instead, I had boys who were happy, loved Kindermusik and went to bed without a complaint or a cry.
And, they SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT AGAIN!
Hallelujah!
