Peanut Butter has been a mainstay in my life since I was a child. I love it on toast, celery, in sandwiches, in baking and of course, right off the spoon! I was excited to make some Kraft Peanut Butter Snack Bites with my boys as an easy, grab and go snack for those busy after school nights or anytime they want a filling snack. There are lots of fantastic recipes at StickTogether.ca you can find out how to make one of their suggestions or create your own. I created a recipe I knew my boys would love that is packed with protein with a delicious crunch!
The boys and I chose the ingredients together. We started with the oats, Kraft Smooth Light Peanut Butter and honey. Then the boys added their two favourite ingredients – mini chocolate chips and organic cocoa rice cereal and I included the hemp hearts. We measured the ingredients and stirred them all together. The boys didn’t want to roll the balls because they were sticky but they loved coating them in hemp hearts. I placed them on a baking sheet and we waited for them to set. We didn’t wait very patiently though! We definitely checked every 10 minutes until they were ready. The result = absolutely delicious! Two bites were the perfect size to keep us full, satisfied and enough protein to keep us going.

I agree with Amanda! These look totally unique and delicious – love the use of the hemp hearts! My one child exists on Kraft peanut butter and pizza. Not together. She is a massive fan of Kraft peanut butter. Not sure what I would do without it actually.

There is no doubt that my kids would love these, and I like how they look very portable and less “messy”.
