Springtime brings a lot of exciting things – birds chirping, longer days, the promise of no snow, the return of warm sun and Easter candy! To celebrate one of my favourites we’ve created a simple Cadbury Creme Egg Milkshake that combines all of the flavours you love at Easter.
Growing up my Grandmother used to make a variety of milkshakes and floats because she worked at a soda fountain in her youth. She always had great ice cream in the freezer and a variety of things to put in it. I learned to experiment from her and the results have been increasingly delicious! Years later I worked at Dairy Queen and was tasked with making milkshakes everyday. They definitely lost their novelty but again when given the opportunity I loved to experiment and make unique combinations. This Easter I wanted to use my favourite Easter candy, Cadbury Cream Eggs and create a drink that tastes like dessert.
Cadbury Cream Egg Milkshake
Ingredients:
French Vanilla Ice Cream (3 large scoops)
1/2 cup milk
3 ice cubes
3 Cadbury Cream Eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Paper straws
Directions
Please all ingredients in a Vitamix (or other high speed blender) and pulse until cream eggs and ice cubes are crushed. Then turn up to 5 and blend until smooth. Poor into a tall glass and garnish with whipped cream, sprinkles or a Cadbury Cream Egg.
*While this milkshake is super sweet and deliciously chocolatey I would recommend adding more milk if you find it too sweet.
