Organization is something that we all struggle with. From clutter to a messy pantry we all have junk drawers, junk piles and my least favourite – paper we have no idea what to do with! My mom says that I am the queen of junk piles. Sadly it’s true. I have lots of organizational systems but I also have small piles in various parts of my house. Â From a basket in the hallway to a couple of moving boxes leftover from our August move I need organizational tips like everyone does!
Organizing your home is one of the most useful skills but can often be the hardest to tackle. Â I keep buying tools to help me organize but in the end I need a system that really works for me and my family. Â I’m working on decluttering and finding purposeful spaces for kids artwork, papers, receipts etc. Â I love the tips I have rounded up here. I am all about getting organized this year and keeping spaces clean for as long as possible. I’ve even resulted in locking up the playroom from the kids until chores are done just to keep my house a little bit cleaner. It working so far.

I have always been good at organizing at work–my apartment is a totally ‘nother story!! Every once in a while I start throwing away old papers or putting items in recycling bins–I really have to get this all together. Thank you for the tips.
