Fig Blue Cheese and Apple Pizza

Once you've tried this pizza you will make it again and again. Love the combination of rich blue cheese with fresh apple and dried figs. Sweet and savoury.

Ingredients

  • Blue Cheese Cream Sauce recipe above
  • 1 Pre-made pizza crust
  • 1 large apple
  • 10 dried figs
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar I used a maple infused balsamic vinegar
  • 10 thinly sliced pieces of Prosciutto
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated aged white cheddar
  • 1 cup loosely packed baby kale

Instructions

  1. Remove stems and slice dried figs in half. Put in a small bowl and cover with balsamic vinegar.
  2. Preheat oven to 350.
  3. Place pizza dough in the oven for 5 minutes to crisp up the surface.
  4. Remove pizza dough from oven and spread with Blue Cheese Cream Sauce.
  5. Slice apple into thin slices and place around the pizza. Remove figs from balsamic vinegar and pat dry. Place figs around the pizza then top with proscuitto. Sprinkle aged cheddar around the pizza then crumble blue cheese. Place in the oven and bake 8-10 minutes until top is bubbly and cheese is melted. Top with baby kale. Serve immediately.
