Homemade Slow Cooker Bits and Bites

A homemade snack favourite combining your crunchy and salty into a perfectly flavoured mix.

  • 4 cups cereal squares like Shreddies
  • 3 cups toasted oat o's like Cheerios
  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 3 cups Pretzel Goldfish or pretzels
  • 2 cups salted peanuts
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Herbamare or celery salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire¬†sauce


  1. In a large slow cooker combine all cereal, goldfish and peanuts.
  2. Mix together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce.
  3. In a small dish mix together garlic powder, onion powder, Herbamare, and seasoned salt.
  4. Combine dry seasonings with butter mixture.
  5. Pour evenly over cereal tossing it to become coated.
  6. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours stirring often (approximately every 15 minutes) to ensure the mixture doesn't burn.
  7. Cool and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
