From my favourite Christmas Eve gathering at my Aunt and Uncle&#8217;s to my high school friends&#8217; holiday get-together, my holidays are festive and fun. \u00a0I love the chance to catch up with people I haven&#8217;t seen recently over a glass of wine and enjoy some delicious holiday dishes made with Canadian cheese &#8211; baked Brie, Prosciutto-Wrapped Figs with Blue Cheese, Mini Quiches and Caprese Bites. \u00a0Each appetizer complements the other and pairs perfectly with a Canadian cheese platter and your favourite Canadian wines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9061\" src=\"https:\/\/familyfoodandtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Canadian-Cheese-Holiday-7.jpg\" alt=\"Canadian Cheese Holiday 7\" width=\"1028\" height=\"1521\" srcset=\"https:\/\/familyfoodandtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Canadian-Cheese-Holiday-7.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/familyfoodandtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Canadian-Cheese-Holiday-7-202x300.jpg 202w, https:\/\/familyfoodandtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Canadian-Cheese-Holiday-7-405x600.jpg 405w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1028px) 100vw, 1028px\" \/> Entertaining with Canadian cheese is easy because it suits every mood and every party. \u00a0I love that it&#8217;s a great source of protein and calcium and full of wonderful flavours that dance on your palate. \u00a0The versatility of cheese is wonderful &#8211; from melted cheese, firm cheese and round balls of bocconcini, \u00a0cheese adds dimension and depth to your holiday table. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9062\" src=\"https:\/\/familyfoodandtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Canadian-Cheese-Holiday-6.jpg\" alt=\"Canadian Cheese Holiday 6\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/familyfoodandtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Canadian-Cheese-Holiday-6.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/familyfoodandtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Canadian-Cheese-Holiday-6-215x300.jpg 215w, https:\/\/familyfoodandtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Canadian-Cheese-Holiday-6-431x600.jpg 431w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/>For my holiday party I chose a variety of Canadian cheeses to suit every palate and every recipe. I based my choices on the entertaining tips from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dairygoodness.ca\/cheese\/all-you-need-is-cheese\/cheese-life\/entertaining\/which-cheese-is-on-your-platter\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/a>&#8211; start with milder cheeses accompanied by light Canadian wines or beers and move on to stronger cheeses and more full-bodied varieties. For each serving, select at least one cheese from three different categories (mild, medium, strong) to create\u00a0the perfect combination of taste, texture and variety.
