With the introduction of gluten free Quaker Oats our favourite breakfast is now available to Canadians with gluten allergies or sensitivities.<\/p>\n

Gluten Free Quaker Oats Fruit and Honey Granola <\/a><\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n

3-1\/2 <\/b>cups Large Flake Quaker\u00ae<\/sup> Oats or Quick Quaker\u00ae<\/sup> Oats (uncooked)
2 <\/b>tablespoons coarsely chopped pecans
1\/2 <\/b>cup honey
2 <\/b>tablespoons vegetable oil
1 <\/b>teaspoon vanilla
1\/2 <\/b>teaspoon ground cinnamon
1\/8 <\/b>to 1\/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
One<\/strong> 6\u2011ounce package diced dried mixed fruit (about 1\u20111\/3 cups)<\/p>\n

Directions:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Heat oven to 350\u00b0F.<\/li>\n
    2. In large bowl, combine oats and pecans; mix well. Spread evenly in 15 x 10\u2011inch jelly roll pan or on rimmed baking sheet.<\/li>\n
    3. In small bowl, combine honey, oil, vanilla, cinnamon and salt (if desired); mix well. Pour over oat mixture; mix well.<\/li>\n
    4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown, stirring every 10 minutes. Stir in dried fruit. Cool completely. Store tightly covered up to 1 week.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

      **Variations: Substitute dried cranberries, chopped dried apricots or chopped dried peaches for dried mixed fruit.<\/p>\n
