Valentines Chex Mix

Chex mix is a favorite around our house. We love how versatile it is plus it’s easy and delicious! We know our Valentine’s Chex Mix will be your new favorite Valentine’s Day treat.

While this mix is in celebration of Valentine’s day just change the candy and sprinkles and you can adapt it to any occasion.

This version features Valentine’s Smarties and special sprinkles.

Make the base recipe and add any candy you like for the perfect sweet snack.

Serve in these Heart Shaped Silicone Baking Cups for a perfectly portioned Valentine’s Chex Mix.

Valentines Chex Mix

Ingredients:
5 cups of Rice Chex
1/2 cup White Chocolate Chips
1/4 cup peanut butter (I used Kraft light)
2 tbsp butter
1/3 cup icing sugar (powdered sugar)
1/2 cup red and pink candy (I used Valentine’s Smarties)
2 tbsp Valentine Medley Sprinkles Mix

Valentines Chex Mix

Directions:

Pour Rice Chex into a bowl. Place white chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter in a microwave-safe dish and microwave on high for 20 seconds. Stir then microwave on high for 20 seconds. Repeat in 20-second intervals until fully melted. Mix thoroughly.
Pour melted mixture over cereal and toss to coat. In a large Ziploc bag place half the cereal mixture with icing sugar, close the bag and shake to coat.
Stir Smarties and sprinkles into a bowl and toss to coat.
Spread Chex Mix from the bag and the bowl onto parchment or waxed paper. Allow to cool completely (approximately 20 minutes)
Mix all together and serve or store in an Airtight Container

Valentine's Chex Mix

    My daughter is going to love this! She’s grown now, but her birthday is on Valentine’s Day, so the holiday has a special place in her heart. (Mine,too!)
