These are wonderful and so easy. It is hard to find dairy free treats that are quick to make. Instead of blueberry, I used simply peach pie filling, which tasted great.

I’m planning to make these for a brunch party. I’m wondering how these are if I made them the day before? I’m sure they are great fresh but with getting ready (and a toddler) I don’t want to be crunched for time. Thoughts?

Amy – they are much better fresh but do heat up ok. I find the pastry isn’t as flaky when warmed.
Also, you would need to ice them the day of. Hope your guests love them!

I’m going to try these wonderful pies … ? …
will fresh blueberries make a difference & do they need to be mixed with anything ?
Are they better with canned pie filling.

The canned pie filling is less juicy – when you use fresh blueberries the results might differ.
